Whitetail

Our native brush and grasslands are home to native herds of Texas whitetail deer.

They hide in the scorching hot of the day, but when it cools they come out in numbers to feast on woody plants, shrubs, fruit, and grass. In the case of severe droughts, such as is the case right now in Texas, we give them a helping hand by supplementing their diets with protein and feed so that they survive and remain strong for our hunters.
